My story

I spent five years in recruitment in London before moving into tertiary education, where I worked for fifteen years across the General Studies, Work Readiness and Rehabilitation faculties. Supporting people through transitions — into work, back into learning, or simply back to themselves — became the thread that ran through everything I did.

That led me to train formally in psychoanalytic counselling, psychology, and mental health nursing. Learning disability and CAMHS (Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services) became a particular focus — partly through my clinical work, and partly because I'm neurodivergent myself and a mother to an autistic child. I understand from the inside how much the right support, at the right time, can change.

Why Bespoke Counselling exists

Waiting lists for assessments that can be genuinely life-changing — and for the counselling and therapy that follows — are simply too long. People shouldn't have to put their lives on hold for years to access support that should be a basic right. Bespoke Counselling exists to offer an affordable, private alternative: timely, evidence-based, and shaped around the person in front of me.

What guides my work

  • • Warm, non-judgemental, and fully confidential
  • • Neurodiversity-affirming — ADHD, autism, learning differences welcomed
  • • Evidence-based: psychoanalytic, person-centred, EMDR, and DBT approaches
  • • Flexible scheduling, with reduced fees available where needed

My approach

I work relationally — which means the therapeutic relationship itself is part of the work. Sessions start with listening: to what's bringing you in, what you've already tried, and what a good outcome would actually look like for you. There's no script and no one-size-fits-all programme.

From there, I draw on whichever evidence-based approach fits the person and the moment — psychoanalytic work to understand patterns and their roots, person-centred therapy to build self-trust, EMDR for trauma processing, and DBT skills for managing overwhelming emotions. Often it's a blend, and it evolves as you do.

Above all, you set the pace. My role is to offer a steady, confidential space, honest reflection, and practical tools — so that change feels possible, sustainable, and genuinely your own.
